Double trouble
A very fun week for us here at the Detail Doctor! We had the opportunity to work on not just one but two Ducati V4R’s, the manufacturer’s flagship model and benchmark for sports bikes. Such a special bike deserves special treatment. Starting with a full detail, followed by a paint correction, Xpel paint protection film and ceramic coat. First Step: WASH

Magnesium wheels and titanium Akrapovic exhaust, a tough combo to beat.

Once we got the paint to pristine condition, we are ready to cover the bike in XPEL Paint Protection Film
Keeping original finishes, and making new ones.
We mixed two types of film on this bike, XPEL Ultimate Plus and XPEL Stealth.
To keep the original matte finish on the carbon fiber pieces, we used Stealth film.
The V4R comes with a brushed aluminum gas tank which is closer to a matte finish, by using the ultimate plus film it provides a gloss style. Not only did it really make the brushed tank pop, it give it a sleek gloss look.
The Finished Product
These bikes are now ready hit the road/track while feeling confident about protecting their paint from debris and making future cleaning and maintenance a breeze.
